There are some great photo assignments out there.
I really should participate in more of them.
I did do one called Ten on Ten back in March.
That was a lot of fun and I had intended on doing it each month.
Intended is the key word here.
A great way to photo journal your day.
They have both captured some great images from their daily routines.
Beauty in the everyday. I love it.
Go check out what their days are like.
I had good intentions to show you my day. Maybe not a week but at least a day.
There is that word again.
Intentions.
It was a rainy day and I had a hard time with getting some shots.
Then the day sort of disappeared and I had to hurry and make dinner.
I made a pork tenderloin. You’d think I would have shot that. No.
Me cooking? No.
The dinner table? No.
Instead I get this.
As my mother always taught me…
a little wine for the (insert whatever you are cooking)…
…a little for the cook.
What can I say. I listen to my mom.
But then the rain passed and the sun came out.
I grabbed my camera and we drove down to the point in hopes of getting some shots.
Here are a few.
I was crouching to get this shot and then realized I was in a patch of sand spurs.
Those buggers hurt!
I love watching the osprey in their nest.
Not exactly what I intended for the day but not a total loss either.
see ya,
Anita, those are great shots. That last one especially. I used to watch the Galloping Gourmet when I was a kid and loved how he always had to have a little wine for himself when he added it to the dish. Maybe that's how mom saw fit to do the same? haha. I do need to take more pics but we need to get out of the house to do that and it's just so godawful hot and sticky.
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely participate more in photo assignments. These photos are incredible. Beautiful!

ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of photographs of your day... yours are especially good photos. I have what is left of an Osprey nest out in the back yard and if I stand on the upstairs balcony I might be able to get a shot...
ReplyDeleteI might just try this one day, if it ever stops raining....
Nice post!
Sandy

ReplyDeleteI have a long list of intentions. And your pictures of the beach are perfect for a day's end.
ReplyDeleteAnita it definitely was not a waste of a day...not viewing the beauty that you photographed would have been a waste of a day. Beautiful...just totally beautiful. Now as for me tomorrow I intend to get a lot of things accomplished that I have been putting off doing. Oops there's that word again...intentions!

Hi Anita! I just got a beautiful postcard from you in the mail today and your post today and stopped by to tell you I love it! I love the beach and all things coastal too and reading this post I realized that we have even more than that in common...like having good intentions to participate in assignments...I managed to do the Picture series at Big Picture but that is about it I'm afraid. Also have that love of a nice glass of wine in common:)...and I'm cooking pork tenderloin for supper tonight:)
ReplyDeleteI will be visiting your delightful blog often for sure!
Beautiful shots, Anita. I always have good intentions too, just never enough time. I am going to try and hurry and whip together a post for Texture Tuesday though.
ReplyDeleteI love your photography. Even though we live in Southern Calif. two miles from the beach, my husband and I spent our honeymoon off the coast of Florida on Captiva Island. So beautiful there and so different from our beaches.
ReplyDeleteI loved looking at all your photos - gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIntentions - yeah, I have those too! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe photos that you did get are fabulous (as always) and really brightened up my morning. I'm off to check out the blogs you suggested.
Hope you're doing well, Anita.
Hugs,
Marie
