So finally he stops to do his business. Right next to me of course. He has no modesty that one. When all of a sudden this blue jay hops out of the tree. Right in front of Henry. He looked panicked. He wasn’t sure what to do. I’m sure he was thinking, crap, I so want that bird. But he was sort of busy. The blue jay hurriedly grabbed some seeds that the maniac squirrels left behind from their raid on the bird feeder. And then made a quick getaway just as Henry was finishing up.
Can you see the blue jay? Not real clear I know. But hey, at least I didn’t get Henry’s rear end in the shot. Oh and see that thick vine growing on the tree? I think it’s a trumpet vine, not sure. But Henry grazes on it like he’s part cow. What is up with that? Does anyone else’s dog do this?

I know I've commented before but he is absolutely beautiful. What a face! Good thing for the bird that he was squatting. He is a bird dog so what more would he do to a blue jay right?! The pictures are beautiful. You caught that bird in a great shot.
ReplyDeleteHenry is smart and handsome to boot. He wanted that pretty blue jay in the worst way...that was a good shot Anita. Thanks for joining Lucy..have fun!
ReplyDeleteHenry is such a handsome guy! What a funny post! The part about him grazing on your trumpet vine cracks me up! Is Henry an English Springer Spaniel? My brother and his wife have one and she eats A LOT of stuff in their yard! They had to take out some beautiful grapevines because Lillie was getting to the grapes. What a stinker!
ReplyDeletethis is hilarious!!!! charlie does the same thing!!! i love when they are midstream and a cat or bird teases and taunts!!! it cracks me up!
ReplyDeleteLove this post. Henry is a character for sure. Love the picture with the ears flying. Our dogs eat grass sometimes. But unfortunately our youngest, Ellie has taken to bringing in snails and other unmentionables to eat on our sofa when I'm not looking - so gross. Her breath often smells like poop. Drives me spare. Maybe I should introduce her to trumpet vines.

Dang Henry is cute, and you are hilarious. Nice shots. My dog doesn't eat vines, but he will eat poo. I guess this dog does too. Wonder if this worked.

Henry is so beautiful. Loved your post, very fun!
ReplyDeleteI love Henry pics. My dog eats those fuzzy things that falls off the tree for 2 weeks in the backyard that I photographed for the 360 party. They get stuck in her beard and look goofy.
ReplyDeleteOh my what a handsome man Henry is...I love those Springer Spaniels? Love your blog Anita, it is so pretty, thank you for dropping in on our new Sushi!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Henry is a stunner! That bird is lucky that he was busy or he would have gotten it.
ReplyDeleteHenry, is such a good looking dog. Bailey likes to nibble on weeds in the yard.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of Henry running with his ears flying...so cute!!
ReplyDeleteJane
PLEASE tell me what type of dog that is!
ReplyDeleteLove those springers! Personality plus.
ReplyDeletehaha! Love the visual of Henry doing his business but caught between needing to finish pinching that loaf and chasing the bird!
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of Henry running with his ears flying up in the air. Gosh, he's cute! Your so funny Anita. I had to laugh at the part about Henry eating your vines. My dog loves to eat grass, but his ultimate favorite is rabbit poop...yeah.

What a beautiful pup! Our dog likes to eat grass occasionally.
ReplyDeleteLOL!! Henry is just adorable. My 3 dogs don't eat any vines, just grass BUT my little poodle, Daisy, has a thing about black crows. They drive her crazy and she seems to lose her mind when she sees them...she'll stop whatever she's doing and chase them. We have such silly kids, don't we?
ReplyDeletePets are bunches of fun. My cat brought a live lizard into the kitchen last week to play with...then eat. Henry is adorable. ♥olive
ReplyDeleteOur dog will eat grass when he has a stomach ache. Maybe the vine is like Maalox for Henry!
ReplyDeleteHe looks like a really sweet dog, and he's a pretty boy, too. :)
I love debbies pet party!
ReplyDeleteoh man, henry is beautiful! is he a springer spaniel? Can't help with the vine question...mine just nibble the grass.
Thanks for your comments on Hank...and yes, he is ALWAYS posing. Do you suppose they know how cute they are?
Wonderful set of story telling images.
ReplyDeleteAwww, he's adorable.
ReplyDeleteHow funny! Henry is the cutest thing. I bet mr blue jay would have been bird stew if Henry hadn't been preoccupied!!!

hope this note finds you. wax, tricky stuff. if you overwork putting it on, it will pull your paint...even cured paint. i brush on the wax, lightly with little back and forth...do not work back and forth with pressure as you do on non painted pieces. let sit for an hour or so and buff. hope this helps.

Oh Henry.. be careful with his munching on a trumpet vine/tree... their deadly!
ReplyDeleteHenry is a really good looking guy and sounds like loads of fun to romp with ...
Sandy
These are beautiful pictures Anita! Henry is always so adorable and it looks like he is having a wonderful time. :) My dog doesn't eat plants but I could tell you something he does eat but it would make you sick. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, man I love that dog.

p.s. how do you arrange your photos like you did in the first set?
Awww... Henry is beautiful! Good lookin boy! Your photos are amazing and crisp! Our dogs eat some pretty nasty stuff! I think you know where I'm going with that... At least Henry is eating something healthy :)
ReplyDeleteI see the bird and I appreciate you not including the part of the picture with Henry taking care of his business :) Beautiful creature you have there. I don't know about a vine on a tree but we have a lab that eats anything...I mean ANYTHING. It's shocking sometimes.
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious, Anita! You know I love Henry:) I especially love the action shot of him running and his ears flapping in the breeze! Too, too cute!! And a great shot of the bird getting away, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome guy! Wow... so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDonna
