I have some things around me that make me smile. Like my picture of my kids when they were little. I remember that day at the park clearly and I love seeing their smiling faces. My Dwight Schrute bobblehead. A lot of laughs from that show. The photograph on the shelf my son took when we were all in Italy together. It's of the narrow streets in my father's hometown of Lucca. That was such a great trip. I do have a bit of a confession to make. It didn't look quite this neat this morning. It looked more like.........
....this. Whoa, I know. I can't believe I am showing you this. Yes, I tend to work in chaos. Which might be why I forget a lot of things. I am happy to say I have a bag full of trash now and well, I'm still working on filing the rest away. It's all piled on the bed behind me. But thanks for giving me a shove to do it. I have to if I want to go to bed tonight. Now, let's all forget we ever saw this.
I wish you had a pic of you in your spot so I could picture you every time you send me a comment. :) I like your desk and that you aren't afraid to keep it real!
ReplyDeleteSo funny...I was saying to myself - wow - Anita's desk is so neat - until I saw the photo right below te neat one....that's more like it!!! Creative Chaos...but thats a good thing..!!
ReplyDeleteOh I so wish I had your desk. Wanna sell it? :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you put that last photo in~it looks a lot like the spot where I blog.
ReplyDeleteI like your desk.
Thank you- you make me feel normal with the "real" picture of the desk! I can't blog from my desk right now b/c it look slike your before picture, so congrat's to you for your honesty. I like clean walls, I don't think you need much between the desk and the shelve, I like it simple like that.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Now that's a brave soul - showing a desk au naturel. Is that chair as comfy as it looks?
ReplyDeleteI was going back and forth between the first 2 pics and the only difference I could see was post its. I thought it was a trick confession.
ReplyDeleteWell, your "real" photo is so much more like my desk! Even when I clean it, not so many days go by before it gets real again.
My biggest challenge is a chair. I have not found a comfy one yet to fit my space.
Gorgeous desk. Love the 'real' photo, its much neater than mine at the moment!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't even say "when my kids were little", I always get teary when I think of that ! No, I have no cape my dear, it would just get in the way. Probably get caught in my saw or in my paint can. "No capes!" Did you ever see 'The Incredibles'? I'll never forget that line. Anyway, thanks for sharing your little corner of the world. It's so personalized, which I belive is the most important thing. We must surround ourselves with what we love !

Hi Anita,
ReplyDeleteWell, I was feeling a little depressed when I saw how neat and pulled together your desk area looked. I thought to myself "Why can't my space look so organized and well accessorized? What's my problem??!" Thanks for keeping it real! Love the photo of Lucca. It's one of the first things I noticed!
I love your desk! Did you buy it or make it? I totally need a space like that for my cra(p)ft room.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing where everyone sits when they talk to me :)
I listed the color we used on my Coastal Farmhouse Chic post...I wanted to let you know! Hugs, Meme
ReplyDeleteI want a Dwight Schrute bubblehead too!!! He is crazy funny!
ReplyDeleteI love 'where you blog'!
Rhonda
Well, like some of your other blogging friends, I was feeling a little bad when I saw your clean desk, my desk is a total disaster area - catalogs, bulletin board, order sheets, shipping labels, future projects on scraps of paper. So glad to see your "real" desk - now I know that I am not alone!
ReplyDeleteHi Again Anita,
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say a big "thanks" for the anniversary wishes! Hope you are having a great day!!
Thanks for sharing your blogging area. Your last picture makes me feel so much better. My desk seems to be the catch all area.I tell everyone it may be chaos but it's organized chaos. Not really, but it sounds good anyway.Have a good week,Annette
ReplyDeleteGreat blog spot! I appreciate the messy desk shot...my biggest pet peeve is that my kitchen counter looks like that most days. Tks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Doesn't blogging make us clean up our act?
ReplyDeleteLove that you're real and I love Dwight, too!
Where I blog is also shared with my daughter, who does her on-line schooling at my deak. She usually keeps it neat. I missed CG's post about sharing our spaces. Maybe next time.
Love your little corner, and I can almost see you reaching over and flicking Dwight once in awhile to watch him bobble!
Thank you for coming by to tell me that you were in fact, getting/seeing my post, on your white screen ;)
Hugs, sweetie!

If your desk stayed neat and tidy that would just mean you weren't getting enough accomplished! Love you little lamp.
ReplyDeleteChaos??? Ha ha ha!! Welcome to my room!!! It would never be seen if I had to clean it up!! Then life would be boring...
