Where Do I Blog?

Right here. On the other side of my bedroom that I never showed you.  Kate from Centsational Girl was posing this question today. I've told her that I always envision her with a cape on and a big CG on it. I think she needs one.  I'm still working on this space so I was a little reluctant to do so. I need something to bridge the gap between the desk and the shelves. But then I thought, why not, it does help me see things more clearly when I take pictures of spaces. It's been so cloudy and rainy that I couldn't get good pictures. What happened to this being the sunshine state? And why is my monitor white when so many of yours you can see so clearly?

I have some things around me that make me smile. Like my picture of my kids when they were little. I remember that day at the park clearly and I love seeing their smiling faces. My Dwight Schrute bobblehead. A lot of laughs from that show. The photograph on the shelf my son took when we were all in Italy together. It's of the narrow streets in my father's hometown of Lucca. That was such a great trip. I do have a bit of a confession to make. It didn't look quite this neat this morning. It looked more like.........

....this. Whoa, I know. I can't believe I am showing you this. Yes, I tend to work in chaos. Which might be why I forget a lot of things. I am happy to say I have a bag full of trash now and well, I'm still working on filing the rest away. It's all piled on the bed behind me. But thanks for giving me a shove to do it. I have to if I want to go to bed tonight. Now, let's all forget we ever saw this.

  5. Thank you- you make me feel normal with the "real" picture of the desk! I can't blog from my desk right now b/c it look slike your before picture, so congrat's to you for your honesty. I like clean walls, I don't think you need much between the desk and the shelve, I like it simple like that.

  6. Haha! Now that's a brave soul - showing a desk au naturel. Is that chair as comfy as it looks?

  7. I was going back and forth between the first 2 pics and the only difference I could see was post its. I thought it was a trick confession.
Well, your "real" photo is so much more like my desk! Even when I clean it, not so many days go by before it gets real again.
My biggest challenge is a chair. I have not found a comfy one yet to fit my space.

  9. Don't even say "when my kids were little", I always get teary when I think of that ! No, I have no cape my dear, it would just get in the way. Probably get caught in my saw or in my paint can. "No capes!" Did you ever see 'The Incredibles'? I'll never forget that line. Anyway, thanks for sharing your little corner of the world. It's so personalized, which I belive is the most important thing. We must surround ourselves with what we love !

  10. Hi Anita,
Well, I was feeling a little depressed when I saw how neat and pulled together your desk area looked. I thought to myself "Why can't my space look so organized and well accessorized? What's my problem??!" Thanks for keeping it real! Love the photo of Lucca. It's one of the first things I noticed!

  14. Well, like some of your other blogging friends, I was feeling a little bad when I saw your clean desk, my desk is a total disaster area - catalogs, bulletin board, order sheets, shipping labels, future projects on scraps of paper. So glad to see your "real" desk - now I know that I am not alone!

  17. Great blog spot! I appreciate the messy desk shot...my biggest pet peeve is that my kitchen counter looks like that most days. Tks for sharing.

  18. LOL! Doesn't blogging make us clean up our act?
Love that you're real and I love Dwight, too!
Where I blog is also shared with my daughter, who does her on-line schooling at my deak. She usually keeps it neat. I missed CG's post about sharing our spaces. Maybe next time.
Love your little corner, and I can almost see you reaching over and flicking Dwight once in awhile to watch him bobble!
Thank you for coming by to tell me that you were in fact, getting/seeing my post, on your white screen ;)
    Hugs, sweetie!
