I have said before how it's been hard to decorate for Christmas when it was still Fall around here. Our trees are just now starting to get some color.
I did manage to put away all those Fall decorations that were laid out all over my kitchen table. But I had these two cute little pumpkins that looked as good as the day I bought them.
the one on the left is fake, I needed a 3rd
I was talking with my friend Kolein over at Kitchen Table Productions. That girl can make me laugh. I love it when she makes videos. You may have seen her over at Funky Junk Interiors as she often makes appearances there. We were commiserating how things seem so rushed and we both had pumpkins still sitting around. I jokingly said something about making a little snowman out of mine. She said "I dare ya!". Well, that's all it took. I said why not, it's not like I have anything else to do. So, avoidance reared it's ugly head once again and I tackle something not on my to do list. Shocking I know.
I haven't done crafty stuff in quite awhile. Can ya tell? I wasn't sure what the heck I was doing. But it wasn't like I had to buy anything to do it.
Sort of that deer in headlights look.
Darn those allergies. Or ummm, glue sticks.
So there you have it. I owed Kolein a laugh or two. So, this is for you my friend. Hope it puts a smile on your face today.

Donna
HI Anita-
ReplyDeleteI agree with Donna -this is such a clever use of pumpkins and is going to catch on. I always feel so bad throwing out my pumpkins when the calendar turns to December - like I just did :( These little guys would look so cute nestled in some greenery, around a tree, on my front porch....
Oh Anita, you are so funny! He is so cute, a nice way to bridge fall and winter :)
ReplyDeleteOh SHUT UP!!!! You did not!
ReplyDeleteOMG I loooooovvvveee this. I just took my perfectly good pumpkins to the back porch. I couldn't bring myself to throw them out just yet, either.
Girl this is brilliant, and he is adorable.
Um . . . and that avoidance thing? Yeah, I spent my afternoon cleaning and reorganizing my basement. You know, because that's important at the holidays, to have an organized basement that NO ONE will see.
thanks for the laugh, have a great week
Perfect, Anita! Absolutely perfect!!!!!
ReplyDeleteway to go.
