Someone please help me out here.
Where do these things come from?
How do they form so darn fast?
Granted this chair doesn’t get used a lot but come on….
You would think I had not cleaned in months.
I mean, I am not a neat freak. I will admit that.
I clean. Really I do.
I’m just not obsessive about it.
Obviously.
But these things pop up over night.
I kid you not.
After I saw these I vacuumed everything.
I mopped, I dusted and still then next morning another one was forming.
What?
How?
If it was only closer to Halloween I’d be so ahead of the game.
Shoot, by Halloween I could have my very own haunted house.
A few bats, a black cat, maybe some crows and I'll be good to go.
I’d love to know if anyone else gets these webs.
I’m not seeing spiders, just these darn cobwebs.
How do you get rid of them??
Thanks for the honesty of trying, really trying to keep a house. I love the chair that this little spider decided to make his home on! Spiders have been especially bad this year at our place too!
ReplyDeleteI placed a new piece on my mantel in the bedroom just last week, and by the week-end there was a cob web from it all the way over to the window on the other wall. Go figure.....
ReplyDeletewe got them all the time at our lat house and they were always gnarly! i would take them down and they would go right back up! around halloween it just looked like authentic decor... ;)
ReplyDeleteAnita, I have been seeing the same thing here. It must be this time of year that whatever it is has to hurry and build webs everywhere. You are right they pop up over night. They especially love lamps.
ReplyDeleteI think it must be the timing. (time of year) Webs are EVERYWHERE!
ReplyDeleteI usually bomb my very unfinished basement, and that usually takes care of all the critters upstairs too. I'm lucky that way. (I don't like to bomb the living quarters)
good luck!

We get them too. it seems they follow me around as I am cleaning and just make it as soon as I leave. :)

Oh, I know...it's the same around here. You should see the outside of our cabin. It's essentially, just one giant cobweb.
ReplyDeleteThat's spooky indeed...! And I don't have a solution to that either, so I just live with it ;-)
ReplyDeleteI've heard that if you put grapefruit seeds in the corners of your room and windows (or anywhere else spiders set up shop), they'll leave. My sister in law said it works, but we don't each much grapefruit so I've never tried it.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how fast those spider webs keep coming back - I clean them thoroughly once a month and within a few weeks they are BACK...again and again. Argh.
ReplyDeleteOn a lighter note, if you get a chance this week come over and enter to win a beach glass necklace, Anita (link is on home page)
Have a lovely week,
Marie
I know a little spitfire named Irene who could probably clear those out for you.
ReplyDeleteGuessing your fireplace or leaky windows are to blame....not a critical comment...I have the same thing here....in MN...on a lake. There is a product called Tempo. It is safe to use around people and pets....safe enough to use in a kitchen. We use that around the windows outside....it helps. :)
ReplyDeleteI am thinking a little spider has taken up residence in the chair. Happens to the best of us.
ReplyDeleteToo FUNNY!!!! I`ve just finished sweeping the front porch and, like you, I was wondering:" What`s with all these spider webs???" Trouble shared is a trouble halved! :)
