CONGRATS TO ALLISON FOR WINNING!
Were you wondering if I had forgotten?
I almost did.
It’s been a busy week. I planned on doing this yesterday but then Henry got sick.
We had to take him to the vet for a bunch of tests.
I was getting worried. He was lethargic and trembling.
Turns out he has pancreatitis.
He’s doing much better now and is starting to eat again.
I am so relieved.
So I wanted to do a quick little giveaway.
I just so happened to get two of the Nov/Dec issue of FOLK so I thought I’d pass one along to one of you. They are a new magazine and this is just their 2nd issue.
Donna from Funky Junk Interiors is a contributor for FOLK.
She shows you how she made that cool twiggy garland.
This is from FOLK’s website.
(felted snowball garland. I’m getting addicted to the felted wool!)
It’s a beautiful magazine .
They focus on handmade and made in America items as well.
So I thought I’d add a little something handmade too.
I’ve been sewing with those wool felted sweaters and whipped up with these mini stockings.
They are the perfect little size to tuck a gift card in.
You could add them to a package or hang them on your tree.
I don’t have a tree up yet. Shocking I know. It still feels early to me.
So I stuck them on a wreath for a picture.
I think they'd be a great addition for a wreath that you’re putting together.
So what do you think?
Would you like a chance to see what FOLK is all about?
Just leave me a comment below and let me know how far along you are with your holiday decorating.
Are you just beginning?
Already finished?
Or do you wait until the last minute?
I will randomly pick a winner on Monday night.
Please make sure there is an email for me to contact you.
Feel free to spread the word :)
That's it, easy peasy.
Good Luck!
Ironic, but the only thing inside I need to do is sew stockings. I still need to do my porch, but it has been too busy and cold. Maybe next week it will be warm enough. I thought I would tell you that almost a year ago Harley got pancreatitis. Then she got it again. I thought we were going to lose her. Turns out her new medicated dog food (old one was recalled) was high in fat. She has been on a 3rd medicated dog food (for urinary stones and this one is low fat) and she has been fine. I hope your dog heals well and it doesn't come back.
ReplyDeleteAnita.... pick me, pick me!
ReplyDeleteNice magazine and I'd love a copy!
thanks so much for the opportunity!
Sandy
Love your blog. Met you on Pic the Holidays.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful magazine to read by the fire. Thank you so much for sharing with your loyal followers!
ReplyDeleteOh, this magazine looks so wonderful! I was just going to google it and see where it is available! I've done my decorating and now I'm going to enjoy it and do some crafting! We are simplifying this year! Happy holidays! ♥
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful magazine. I like homemade gifts and the article of reclaiming junk. I'm a flea market fanatic. I will show the mirror I redid for one of my daughter's after Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a magazine I could use.
Great giveaway. This magazine looks packed full of inspiration. I just started my Christmas decorating. Hopefully more will be accomplished this weekend.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great magazine, but I'm in it for the mini stockings! Those are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI'm mostly finished decorating, with a little tweaking left to do. I have a 16 year old son that just insists that we do it all the day after Thanksgiving. He motivates us. When he leaves home, we might not even toss up a wreath!
I want to know what causes Pancreatitis?!! Prognosis? And my angel dog Jackson (aka The Shone) who passed away earlier this year? His middle name was HENRY!!
ReplyDeleteI hope Henry rallies and feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteIt's been many years since I've experienced a magazine like you are gifting. I would be happy to receive a refresher course.
I hope Henry is doing better, Anita! Poor guy! Your stockings are adorable and so fun hanging from the wreath! The magazine looks beautiful and full of great ideas. I'm enjoying doing lots of homemade this year.
ReplyDeleteYour stockings are adorable and I love your wreath. That magazine looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteWe're partially decorated. I have poinsettias and a wreath by the front door and some candles and my Santa collection out. We're not doing a tree this year, however, since we'll be out of town for Christmas...it just seemed like too much work!
(PS. PICK ME! PICK ME!!)
Sounds like a lovely magazine, Anita. I'd love a chance to sit back and peek through its pretty pages. Thank you for being so generous.
ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying my decorating little by little this year, as if every day was a gift to unwrap. LOVE your cute stockings.
PS-Tree's here but shhhh, I'm hoping no one notices that I am loving it so much more with only the lights. I think it looks so pretty that way, but try and convince my family. ;)
Best wishes to all the participants.
Those stockings turned out so stinkin' cute! I wish I had time to make some. I haven't done one little bit of decorating yet. Hopefully this weekend. I would love to peek inside that Folk magazine, it looks like it's full up with inspiration. Have a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteWe are almost completely decorated. We need to get the lights up outside, but we're hoping for a cool snap in central FL. And, we need a tree...again, hoping for cooler weather to go tree shopping.
I love those little stockings Anita. They are so cute. I'm ashamed to say that I haven't pulled my decorations in from the attic and the cottage yet. Hopefully I will start tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me enter your generous giveaway. Have a blessed Sunday.

Henry,
ReplyDeleteMomma said you were sick. I'm hoping you're feeling better and ready to play soon, buddy!
